Tsavo West National Park History.
Tsavo west national park is located in the coastal province of Kenya it’s the second largest after Tsavo East National Park. The park is mainly known of the Mzima springs, Shetani lava flows and the volcanic mountains around the park. The park is made up of riverine vegetation, scrubs, and rocky ridges and among others. According to history its known that the early inhabitants of the park were the traders and the Swahili merchants that were the first foreign people to stay in Tsavo and their main purpose was to get ivory, slaves, cat skins from the locals.
This was from 700 AD or even earlier than that’s what some documentaries show, these people mostly traded with the local through the batter trade; as they could exchange the goods and these foreigners could transport directly to the coast and they could ship them to their home countries, and these goods includes the cowry shells, beads and later were discovered in some of the archaeological sites that were dating back in the early Swahili people.
